The SimpleAssessment technology assessments were created by SimpleK12 (InfoSource, Inc.) when school districts across the country turned to us for help.
We’ve been involved with technology proficiency for over 25 years. We are involved in partnerships with leading technology companies such as Certiport and are a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner. School districts, education consortiums, and State Departments of Education rely on InfoSource, Inc. to provide their teachers, students, and administrators with high-quality, cost-effective technology training. It’s only natural they'd ask us to help them with a student technology assessment!
The No Child Left Behind Act stipulates that all students must be technologically literate by the end of 8th grade. However, many schools across the country are struggling to find an easy, cost-effective, measurable way to assess the tech literacy of their fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. So, they asked us to create these much-needed technology assessments. We first created student technology assessments and now have teacher assessments as well.
But we can’t take all the credit. We created a Technology Assessment Committee composed of school technologists and educators from across the country to help us on our journey. Now, SimpleK12 is ready to help school districts - large and small - meet the NCLB requirements. Simply.
